This book was SO worth the wait!!!

I couldn't help but fall in love with this wonderful series!! Thanks to this awesome series I was introduced to the wonderful world of ANIME/MANGA, and watched a total of 11 animes, and read over 50 mangas!!! :D

I would like to thank Mr. Ishida for his dedication to his works these past 7 years! :]

    It's done.

Five years of my life with this series gave me so much happiness, stress ,tears and anger .

I will treasure this series all my life for all that it taught me.

I sae this characters grow so much and their development was amazing, each one going trough relatable process during each arcs.

Ishida sui is one of the best mangaka alive right now and i highly recommend you keep up to see the closure to this story.

I can't even put into words how much I love this series ❤❤❤

or how much I adore all those characters,

how happy that end made me or

how my heart is melting and breaking for my little weirdo, Uta ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    I did not expect that.

And now... I'm sitting here... and dont know what to do... I already miss my Uta 😭💔

OH. MY. GOODNESS. It's done. Tokyo Ghoul's done. I'm done. What do I do? I dedicated two years to the Tokyo Ghoul fandom. First binge-watching the anime and then inhaling the mangas. I truly found it hard to say goodbye to this world and the characters but seeing how they all got their own happily ever afters warmed my heart! (I definitely cried. I couldn't help my self, Kaneki deserved it!)

I'd like to thank Sui Ishida for dedicating 7 years of his life to Tokyo Ghoul!

    この七 年間 ありがとうございました!

    お疲れ様!

I don't like reviewing manga. I think you get through them too quickly for a 'proper' review to be meaningful. I'd rather share my thoughts when I'm finished reading a series, so that's what I'm going to do here.

Tokyo Ghoul gets a lot of mixed reviews. Its at times very confusing and hard to follow, it's dark and twisted but I think it has a lot of heart as well. RE was a completely different kettle of fish to 'Tokyo Ghoul'. There are a lot of new characters to learn remember and a few returnin

RE was a completely different kettle of fish to 'Tokyo Ghoul'. There are a lot of new characters to learn remember and a few returning favourites. The essential plot of ghoul vs human is still there, but the battleground has changed somewhat, as has the pawns.

On the whole I really enjoyed the series but for me the huge cast made me nostalgic for the good old Anteiku days. I miss the intimacy of the smaller cast and wasn't a big fan of how the story kepy flipping around all over the place. Also I felt like we got cheated by the death of one of the characters. It shouldn't have ended that way for them!!

Overall though I'm happy with where the story went in general, though it defiantly went a little nuts towards the end, seriously how many times can you 'kill' off a character?

Something I will say is that I absolutely love the art style, and the cover art for this manga is stunning. I could look at it all day long. I hope the creator continues producing such entertaining content, though I think it would be nice if this world was laid to rest. Too much of a good thing kinda of ruins the effect.

I'd recommend watching the anime as well, though be prepared for how may many changes they make from the manga. It's still an enjoyable watch in my opinion but its fair to say the source material is much better.

    the End.

This was my least favorite volume, I'm not sure how I feel about the end of this fantastic manga. The end was so sudden, I had no clue that I'm going to read the last chapter !!

Tokyo Ghoul is such a great installment, full of complex characters and complex world. Keneki-ken is such a great character in which I admire a lot !!!!!

I'm so relieved that I have been introduced to TG, and now I can't wait for season 4 of the anime.

    I'm sad that it's over :(

    okay,

first of all, this volume was extremely entertaining and I inhaled 300 pages in just a few hours

    secondly, what the hell happened?

thirdly, I need to think about everything but I don’t have a good feeling about it. The ending feels like a Harry Potter ending which is garbage.

4 star rating is just for now.

update 19.07.18 Earlier this week a sad reveal was made public in the final volume release of Tokyo Ghoul: re.

Ishida Sui confirms that the reason why the ending of the manga was so rushed is due to him falling out of love with his series. Everything makes sense now. I still love and respect him as an author regardless, hope he takes a much needed break and comes back with a new amazing project when he’s ready.

update 3.07.18. just read the final chapter.

update 3.07.18. just read the final chapter. don’t even know what to say. to be completely honest, I’m kinda disappointed. the ending was?? SO RUSHED??? for no reason???? why, Ishida, WHY?

overall, aside from the kaneki/furuta greatness there was little else I really liked and cared about in this volume. I mean, it’s good that no one died....right? 🙂 idk, man. this was just too inadequate by ishida’s standards. potential wasted. I’m sad.

so, this really is the final volume. 3 chapters left to go. 😪 I can’t believe that, after so many years of going strong, tokyo ghoul is coming to an end. I’ll always remember it as one of the very best series I’ve come across in my life. 💜

hopefully my boy kaneki survives in the end 😶 the last chapters were....wild to say the least. anyway, I’m really proud of him, he’s come such a long way since the beginning of tg. one of the most interesting complex characters to ever exist. iconic.

And we're finally here, at the end of the line. I can't believe this is the last volume. The ending was not as great as I expected to be, but I guess this si what happens when you expect too much of something. I never lives up to your expectations. It wasn't

, but it wasn't good either.

Anyway, here's my chapter by chapter chatter for the last volume of one of the very best mangas I've ever read.
