A fake romance with Ford Smith, who turns out to be an English Baron turns into a real romance with Greer. Greer covets a gorgeous wedding gown that is supposed to bring good luck to the owner, even though she has no plans of wedding. She needs a partner to enter the wedding gown contest though and this is where the fake romance with Ford comes in. Try as they both may ,romance may just be in the cards in this delightful romantic tale. I really enjoyed reading this!

Greer is a techie who has been keeping scrapbook wedding plans for years but has never met the man with whom she’d like to put those plans into action. When she spots the wedding dress of her dreams being auctioned, she just has to bid on it, even though she’s not planning on marrying any time soon. Her arch enemy, however, is determined she won’t win it. She asks the handsome man next to her for help and to go to a party where there will be a raffle to win the dress, not realising he’s a member of the British peerage and not a penniless artist!

Get ready for laugh out loud moments, dreams, a fake engagement, nightmares and romance in this delightful story. The characters are fun, believable and easy to relate to. It is a lovely story, a great addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I’m certainly looking forward to the next book in this series and have no hesitation in recommending this - and the previous story in the series, Christmas at Two Love Lane. I believe both stories may be read as a standalone though the ladies at Two Love Lane are key characters in both stories.

I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

I absolutely LOVE this Book! I fell in love from the first few pages and it held my attention throughout the whole story!😍 This was a sweet contemporary romance with great characters and a well written plot! I fell in love with the story and stayed up all night reading it. #WorthIt

The thing I LOVED most about this story is that it takes place in Charleston, South Carolina! I was born and raised in the Charleston area and knew all of the places that were mentioned.

    The descriptions were perfect!

The thing I LOVED most about this story is that it takes place in Charleston, South Carolina! I was born and raised in the Charleston area and knew all of the places that were mentioned.

The descriptions were perfect! I lived on an apartment right next to the maon character on Colonial Lake, which is more like a giant pond, when I was younger. I was born at Medical University of South Carolina and so was my youngest and that was discussed in the book. So pretty much, I felt a connection with this book in a way.

Besides the setting, I just felt this was a very sweet romance and highly recommend it!💖💙💚💛💜

and a fun read that puts both the magic of love and some romantic comedy together to create the nearly perfect light-hearted reading escape!

Greer is force to be reckoned with when she wants something and she wants that wedding dress, even if she doesn’t’ have an intended groom. Too bad the vile little dress shop owner wants it, too and he outbids her at an auction. The dress becomes Greer’s obsession when a promotion offers the dress as the grand prize. All Greer needs is to enter, right? Not so fast, there. She may just need a partner in crime so to speak and that’s when she enlists Ford, the man she thinks is a starving artist. The man who also just happens to have painted her ex-fiance’s current fiance’s portrait. Small world, huh? And it keeps getting smaller as her ex moves into town with his new future bride.

Did I mention that Ford wants to pain Greer’s portrait, too? Or that these two have a growing chemistry that only a big fiasco or a lack of communication can quash?

Fun characters, a few awkward moments that probably didn’t have to be, a few awkward moments that were needed and a crazy contest for a magical wedding gown that makes the perfect foil to love! Kieran Kramer’s

is a fluffy romance that will leave you smiling! Low angst, high entertainment, finding love and the perfect gown-priceless.

Who's ready for the wedding of the season?

takes a wedding-loving matchmaker and a visiting painter from across the pond and throws them into a lighthearted contest that breathes new life into the idea of marriage in a romance novel.

Macy from Two Love Lane had her happy ending in

and now it's her friend, Greer's, turn. Greer is smart, knows what she wants, and is ready to go for it. Even if that means bidding on a pricey wedding dress without having a boyfriend or upcoming wedding to speak of. I thought her obsession with weddings was great. The Pinterest board, the scrapbooks, the ability to say "hey, I don't need a future husband to want to be a bride" which became central to the story. She's a strong character and her little quirks make her relatable too.

Her partner in crime for what becomes an interesting fake engagement (oh yes, this is one of those books, y'all) is Ford, a British painter visiting to find his muse and she just so happens to appear a couple seats down at an auction for a wedding gown. Well, there's a bit more to it but that's all you need to know. I appreciated that he (and Greer as well) considered the other things going on in their life before entering into any sort of relationship. They start off as friends and it gives them a solid foundation for the romance later on that I appreciated.

Oh goodness, and then there's the contest. I don't know what it is about stuff like that in romances but I love it. In this case, Greer competes for her dream wedding dress against four other hopeful brides, except she doesn't have a significant other and all the challenges require one. . . can you see where this is going? It made for a lot of fun reading and stood out in terms of the contemporary romances I've read recently.

My main problem with this book (I mean it wasn't perfect, y'all) was the ending. It just. . . well, it just ended. Abruptly. I was expecting an epilogue or something afterward and there was

. And sure, it does wrap up, sort of (avoiding spoilers and all that here) but it wasn't a satisfying end and I wanted more closure than I got. For a book about weddings and with "wedding" in the title. . . I expected the ending to feature a wedding? At least more than what you get which isn't much. Talk about a bummer.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this book or not because connected romances with different protagonists don't always sit well with me even though I read them fairly often. It's more the contemporary ones. I get attached to the characters. But

was light, quick, and fun with a great friendship/fake relationship turned romance that I couldn't get enough of! Looking forward to book #3!

As with most series in the romance genre this edition of the series features an all new leading couple in the story and can be read as a standalone if choosing to do so. The series is centered around the ladies running the Two Love Lane dating agency in beautiful Charleston, SC with this story highlighting Greer and her opportunity at finding her own love. There are glimpses of previous characters though for those that do follow the whole series.

Greer Jones has been wedding obsessed her whole life keeping scrapbooks of her favorite wedding items. The job of helping others find the true love in their lives has been perfect for Greer but she hasn’t yet had that spark she seeks with anyone, including her ex who had proposed at one point. Now the ex is getting married and Greer wonders if it will ever happen for her.

When attending an auction Greer learns of “Royal Bliss”, a wedding gown that is also said to bring luck in love to the owner. Completely out of character for Greer she finds herself in a bidding war against Pierre Simons who has a vendetta against Greer and the ladies of Two Love Lane so of course he continues to outbid her. When things don’t go her way Greer is heartbroken until she learns Pierre plans to hold a contest with the gown as a prize and Greer’s ticket to winning is the sexy Ford who she had met at the very auction she found Royal Bliss.

I have to say I thought this installment of the series was quite a fun read with Greer going after her dream of a wedding dress. She and Ford come together to try to win the competition with a “fake” engagement that you just know will come to turn out to be more by the end. The contest had all sorts of fun events that were quite entertaining during the book too. And reading this one at Christmas time I couldn’t help but keep comparing Pierre to the Grinch or Scrooge. But all of it made for a lot of fun.

Now for the couple in the story, I did quite like both Greer and Ford as I got to know each of them. I wasn’t a huge fan of Ford hiding his true identity but with where he was coming from in his past it was understandable. I will also certainly give the author credit for taking a completely realistic approach to this couple by giving them a past that needed to be dealt with and applaud Greer in how she handled finding out in the story. So in the end this one was my favorite of the series so far and I definitely look forward to seeing more from these ladies of Two Love Lane if it continues.

With only one exception, she has managed to find a match for all her clients. Yet, for Greer, helping others find love leaves little time to find her own Mr. Right. However, she is sure that someday she will meet the man of her dreams, so despite having no boyfriend, or fiancé, and okay, she’s not even dating anyone, she still has her heart set on the wedding dress which is part of a local fundraising contest.

Enter, Ford Smith, an artist looking for his next model, who happens to be hiding out from a really awkward situation back in Britain, which is where he is from. Ford agrees to accompany Greer to the cocktail party and fundraiser and knows immediately she’s the person he wants to paint. He then finds himself entangled in her quest to win the wedding dress, when it appears her lack of a fiancé could hurt her chances of winning the contest.

As Greer and Ford begin to spend more time together they find their light, flirty relationship becoming more serious, but both are in denial. The timing couldn’t be worse for either of them.

But, love has its own timetable and for Greer it’s now or never- but does Ford feel the same way?

This is a really cute and sweet contemporary romance full of quirky characters and oddly humorous and awkward situations that added to the story’s charm. I wouldn’t have thought a droll British aristocrat would be a good match for the vivacious Greer, but somehow the British manners complimented the southern charms of Charleston. South Carolina.

This story has a lot going on, and touches on various themes, one of which is to avoid settling for comfort and companionship when you can have everlasting true love instead. I also enjoyed the artistic threads with added a extra dollop of depth to Ford’s understated stoicism.

Overall, I had a lot of fun with this story. It is very light, very easy to read, but I found myself completely enchanted with it!

I didn't like the way Greer and Ford met and to be honest, I was expecting more from Ford and I was disappointed when he didn't help Greer. I understand now that he had issues, but I wanted the hero of the novel to act, well, like a hero. I couldn't warm up to him and I was slowly losing interest in Greer as I was reading further on the book.

The author should have dedicated more time on Jill and her second chance romance rather than exclusively on Greer and Ford. I felt cheated when it came to Jill. She seemed to have a very interesting story and it was a sub-sub-plot, just enough to fill two whole pages. I wanted to see more of them and forget about the perfect dress and Greer.

The couple of the next book is uncertain, but I think I have an idea about who that person might be. The man who took the dress Greer wanted at the auction was a lot on the spotlight by the end of the book and he went through some drastic changes. I am still not sure about his age and the reason he was acting like he was. If the next book is his, I hope we will find out a little bit more of the reasons why he is the man I saw in this book.
