¡Oh, me encantó! Apenas leí la reseña de

me pareció simplemente genial.

Estuvieron bien desarrollados, sobretodo, Jesse y Hunter.

NO insta-love, NO triángulo amoroso.

This was me reading this book.

Damn! This book was a breathe of fresh book air.. Once in a while I go through my TBR and pick a book I bought because Amazon had it under LGBT category, that I wasn’t familiar with the author or even read the blurb......“I call it surprise me book” read. And surprised I was. This was a sweet good old-fashioned romance novel. It read like the Indie films that I love to watch.

    MC1: Jesse the Rockstar

MC2: Hunter the baby Silver fox doctor.

    MC1: Jesse the Rockstar

MC2: Hunter the baby Silver fox doctor.

Our Mc’s meet on a train from Montreal to Toronto. The two chat for the entire five hour trip, from their chat we learn that Hunter is a Paediatrician, he moved to Toronto for a fresh start and get over his recent breakup. Jesse is a Rockstar who lives up to the rock and roll lifestyle of girls and partying. He is also bisexual but doesn’t tell Hunter. Jesse’s girlfriend breaks-up with him via a text during the train ride. The two bond over that. When they get off the train they say their goodbyes. These two just clicked. And no! it was not the

Fast forward two years later, the two meet again when Hunter invites Jesse to the hospital to make a little girl’s dream of meeting her favourite Rockstar come true. From there the two strike up a friendship. And it was a match made in book heaven.

The story is a slow burn, like really slow, the first real kiss happen at around 57% (I say real because the first one was brushed off, the two kiss but decide that to put it under: we were drunk) these two go from strangers on a train to friends to best friends then to lovers, that spun over years. The relationship development was so believable that it sucked me in. The MC’s are also lovable.

Hunter’s interactions with the kids at the hospital was amazing to read, and Jesse was not your typical Rockstar, the bad boy player the label made him out to be. He was sweet, caring and I loved how he made it his mission to teach the kids how to play guitar. So damn! Sweet.

The little things, like just hanging out at the cabin, Jesse introducing Hunter to the band member, Hunter helping Jesse pick out appropriate outfit to wear to the Juno awards, they were like normal things that friends would do and I really enjoyed reading them. And Jesse wrote a freaking song for Hunter...

The first kiss, was your typical first kiss.. not perfect, not sloppy just real and hot..

There are only two sex scenes which were not too detailed or drawn out and to my surprise 😮 i enjoyed that because they were still Hot! Hot!

The Band members were amazing and supportive , Colin, Ash, Rob and Billy, the guy obsessed with bedbug bites.

He cracked me up all the time he was on page. 😂😂😂

The conflict was also so believable, Jesse and Hunter’s reaction was so natural. The aftermath broke my heart. I wanted to punch Jesse but also hug him. My Dr. Baby Silver fox was so heartbroken and Jesse too.

These two guys are complete opposite, I mean a Rockstar and a Paediatrician who would have thought.. but… but..... they fit so perfectly together.

I loved it a lot! What an amazing mm romance novel, I did not want it to end. I am looking forward to reading more mm books from this author.

    Amazing! 😍😍😍😍

I'm really surprised more of my m/m GR friends haven't read this! It was

! I like that this book starts with Hunter and Jesse meeting, then gradually becoming friends and then best friends before anything happens between them. Lovely progression. Also, I'm not a big fan of "rocker" or "celebrity" romances, but this didn't have that feel. This was just as much, or more, about Sick Kids Hospital and Hunter's life there.

And another thing ... I do

THIS!! is how you write a slow burn romance. There isn't a single thing I didn't love about Infamous, not a thing. The slow burn teased and captivated me, with nothing romantic happening between them until after halfway through, and I didn't care in the slightest. I was too busy loving every word of their friends to lovers story.

Loved the writing, the pacing, the characters - especially Jesse's growth. Bloody fantastic! Oh and Dr Baby Silver Fox? Absolutely perfect for Jesse.

    Loved it!

I really liked this one. I don’t know, it just worked for me.

It was a slow burn but in a good way and I absolutely loved the MC’s.

Jesse was just enough of an “ashole” to make me want to fight for him and of course, the moment he secretly visited Avery I was sold on him 110%.

These days I’m on the low with “drama” I know, such a sissy girl. But what can I do.

That being said, I felt the “drama” in this story. It was needed, because this could not just turn out to be instant hearts and flowers, and after all Jesse was still Jesse. The guy who really wanted to be a Rock Star.

Problem was, he also really wanted Dr Baby Silver Fox. And who could blame him right? Who wouldn’t want Hunter? Heck I’ll wager I’m not the only one reading this who would stand in line for a chance with the hunky big hearted Doc.

I enjoyed the rest of the band members. I really liked Avery and her abundance of LIFE. The story was really sweet and slow and just overall GOOD.

This was one of my favorite books from last year and when I had a chance to review the audiobook I jumped at it. So glad I did. This was even better second time around and on audio. The narrator does a great job and his Jesse was fantastic. The story made me get all teary eyed a couple times (which I didn't when I read it). When Jesse says “You come here. That’s where you come. You come here.” I was all teary and swoony. I think this is one of my top 5 friends to lovers stories.

    ****original review here***

I tried this book on a whim and it ended up being one of the best things I've read in a long time. Jesse is an up and coming rock star who gets caught by the tabloids kissing a guy. His agent tells him that if he plans to make it big he needs to push his bisexuality aside and only date women. Jesse decides success is totally worth the sacrifice.

What Jesse doesn't count on is Hunter. The two had met a few years before and Hunter works with critically ill children and has asked Jesse to visit one of them. From there the two men become good friends. At some point Jesse realizes he loves Hunter but he's not sure he can give up his career. Hunter loves Jesse too but he's not willing to go back in the closet for anyone.

I should have hated this book. I can not stand the "coming out for you cuz I love you" trope. I bash it in almost every review I've done w/it as a plot point. (It's such bs imo. Not everyone comes out. It's ok when people choose not to. It feels like the m/m equivalent of the m/f "I'm pregnant & therefore we will live hea") Anyways.......I'm a total hypocrite cuz I ate it up here. I absolutely loved these two and their relationship. It was such a well written friends to lovers story that I was able to put my dislike of that aside. The slow burn here was great. I loved that the author had them take the time to really build a solid friendship and relationship.

This is a totally new author for me and I'm really glad I tried this. It was one of the better written stories in this genre and I can't wait for more from this author. I'm also going to go back and read the first book in this series which is a m/f romance. I highly recommend this story. It's a gem.

I didn't expect to have this much fun with this story! Sure, I expected to like it well enough but not so much that I couldn't stop listening to this story until I reached the end.

takes us through about four years in total in the characters' lives and though there are a lot of time leaps it still had all the things I crave in a story like that. Learning that a story spans through many years is usually a done deal for me and I read the book immediately. Though, I didn't know about it i

Learning that a story spans through many years is usually a done deal for me and I read the book immediately. Though, I didn't know about it in this case so it was a nice and highly welcome surprise.

Jesse and Hunter meet on a long train ride and exchange numbers. After that it takes two years and a little fan in the hospital where Hunter works for them to meet again. Through months of visits and dinners they develop a friendship and slowly but steadily their lives start to entwine to the point where they are completely tangled in each other's days.

I was afraid this was going to be an out-for-you story and I never like those - I think everyone should come out when and how they feel ready and comfortable to do it and not as an ultimatum to keep a relationship. It had been going that way but luckily at the last second it changed its course and we got an awesome rock star romance with a HEA.

A thing that bothered me was Hunter's tendency to pick up and leave whenever things got messy in his personal life. Luckily, it was also the reason we avoided the out-for-you trope so I can't be too bothered about it.

turned out to be an amazing slow burn story about an upcoming rocker bad boy and a workaholic baby silver fox doctor who formed an unlikely friendship and managed to turn that into a solid relationship with a bright future.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by

. He has an amazing voice and did an excellent job with this book. I don't think I need to say anything more about his work because he trully blew me away with his tone. I don't think you'll get what I'm talking about just from the sample of the audio but give it a try anyway. I would have given high praise to the story anyway but Mr. Fell's voice took that to another level.

Highly recommended story - the audiobook version in particular!

Wow!!! Who would have thought that this story would be right up my alley? Not me, that's for sure.

Amazing friends-to-lovers story between Jesse, an into the closet forced rockstar without putting on airs...

... and Hunter, the out and proud baby-silver-fox doctor...

... all wrapped up in an oh-so-delicious

    romance.

I'm so not a fan of public declarations of love, but this time instead of making me cringe, it made me tear up. It was simply perfect!

Speaking of cringe... I listened to the audiobook and even if I loved Michael Fell in #Blur, this was enjoyable, but not his best performance, IMO. I know that it's difficult for a man, but his female and kids voices made me shudder - not the good kind, I'm afraid - and sometimes his voices for Jesse and Hunter were not distinctive enough, so I got a bit confused. Overall it didn't keep me from enjoying the hell out of this book, though.
