Harley is stressed because her parents are coming for a visit... which is exactly why a visit from Harley Sinn is very bad timing! But her parents are no goody goodies either, which leads to a fun family adventure taking down criminals. LOL

Next up? A surprise birthday party for Harley! What happens when assassins show up uninvited? Harley and Friends vs. The Unconquerable 25! Add in a trip to throwdown on Penguin for taking over part of the neighborhood, a Vegas Trip with Ivy and Catwoman that ends up being a crazy party, a trip inside The Green with Swamp Thing, and a 1-on-1 fight with Robin.... what could Harley possibly do next?

....maybe...... Run for Mayor? LOL can't wait to read that upcoming story line.

Harley is always entertaining and fun! Recommend.

    3 1/2 Stars.

Surprise Surprise continues the fun of the Harley Quinn Rebirth series. You could technically jump in here (or anyway else) and get a feel for things, but you would be missing out on a lot of the events and context. This volume has issues 22 through 27, as well as the Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special. I’m not going to lie; it’s hard to believe that our little Harley has been around that long. Man does time fly.

This entry into the ongoing Harley Quinn is good but not one of the strongest. The First half of the book continues the series and is the strongest. It involves a visit from Harleys' parents who have a few surprises of their own to show proving the apple does not fall far from the tree. The first half also puts the crazy cast of characters that surround Harley to good use and that is always a plus. The return of Chad Hardin is also welcome. The first half also puts the crazy cast of characters that surround Harley to good use and that is always a plus. The return of Chad Hardin is also welcome. He captures the vibe of the writing team better than anyone and his brief appearance injected a whole new energy into the book. The second half of the book is a collection of stories by different artists celebrating Harleys' 25th birthday and vary in quality. Both the artwork and writing suffer in this snippets of unconnected stories. Some are good and the stories, once again, use a wide cast of characters but there is nothing really memorable about them. This book is good and leaves a cliffhanger that will keep me reading into the future but it is not going to the top of my list.

    That's my girl!

Much improved story line than the last collection but I still miss the anti-hero vibe

3.5. A little unbalanced but still so fun.

World: The art is much better compared to the last arc, there's a bigger sense of fun and ridiculousness. The world building is solid, much like the last arc there is a lot more call backs to the entire run and it's great for long time friends. It's a good intro too with mum and dad that was fun.

Story: The parent arc was fun fun fun. The assassination story was great cause we get to see Harley let loose and it is fun. The pacing is good, the jokes most

Story: The parent arc was fun fun fun. The assassination story was great cause we get to see Harley let loose and it is fun. The pacing is good, the jokes mostly hit and I love this creative team. I will say the anniversary issue was actually quite weak.

Characters: Harley is a force of nature and that's great. The rest of the cast was so fun and over the top. The villains this time around was good. Nothing else much to say.

Is what you expect from this book. A bit unbalanced this arc but still mighty fun.

    Onward to the next book!

Harley gets a fun visit from her parents. Then it's all about the birthday celebrations as Harley turns 25 (in real life. It's the 25th anniversary of her creation.) The fill in issue by Frank Tieri was not good until the last page which made it all worth it.

No volume-wide storyline ,which is a nice change and a better fit for the character, but also widely varied quality in the art that was disappointing.

After the last volume this one is a let down. The first story picks up from the previous volume and hanging with Harley's parents just is not much fun. The next story about Harely's birthday party has lots of action and plenty of humor and brings along Catwoman and Poison Ivy for the fun. Then it goes down hill quickly when different writers take over for Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palamiotti. The story even has a joke at the end about Harley not liking the new writers....

Then it goes down hill quickly when different writers take over for Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palamiotti. The story even has a joke at the end about Harley not liking the new writers....

.....but wait Amanda and Jimmy are back in the next story. This story is a side story to the excellent one shot road trip story (one of my favorite stories!) that was previously published elsewhere.

Harley co-creator writer Paul Dini shows up in a short likable story. After that the next story goes blah again; this time guest staring Swamp Thing.

The last story written by Chip Zdarsky shows nicely shows the psychologist side of Harley in a surprisingly enjoyable twist ending.

The art, like the stories, goes from average to good. It is not bad overall, but nothing really stands out.

With the mixed bag with stories and art this book is best borrowed from your local library instead of being added to your collection.

Yet again, another load of sexist material. Can DC please fire Palmiotti and Connor? They're ruining a great anti-hero by making her a childish, abusive bitch whose only purpose is to be eyecandy for creepy old men.
