Don’t mind me, I’m just over here crying over the end of the series. 😎

Even though I haven't even read this yet, I'm sure Brandon Mull will deliver 5-star material once more.

This book is brilliant! We follow Cole as he tries to defeat an enemy who threatens the Outskirts while finding his friends who've been kidnapped and a way home. Brandon Mull is a genius with words, and messing with people's minds, especially mine! For any of you who like middle-grade fantasy reads, you'll be sure to enjoy this!

This was a great conclusion to this series, and totally worth the wait.

I had given the 1st 2 books in this series 5 stars, but the 3rd & 4th books were not as good (IMO).

Then having to wait 2 years for this final book?? I wasn't sure I would even continue the series.

But I am so glad I did.

I think it's time to go back and re-read the entire series.

My opinion of the 4th book (my lowest rated with only 3 stars) might change.

But this book was a great conclusion!

i really liked this book and the plot. i felt as if this book moved at an extremely fast pace and how Cole could energize Violet, a Wayminder, (a Wayminder can open wayports to other places and if you go through the wayport, you end up at that place) so that she could open many wayports after a short period of time with no rest. it kinda felt like this was used as a crutch to let them go to different places really quickly because they had to do it a lot, but

    they did it

and somehow it got annoying to read. the fact how Cole literally had an unlimited supply of energy and could energize multiple people at the same time with lots of energy was just really excessive and improbable.

despite this stuff i really liked the plot and how everything turned out in the end. there were plently of plot twists and suspense-filled moments that made me want to keep reading. i liked how time was incorporated into this story and played a big part.

the ending was bittersweet because he finally got what he wanted; to go home, but in the end he forgot about the Outskirts. tbh i really liked the Outskirts and the stuff people could do there and i wanted him to stay there lmao. really obvious from the beginning how it would turn out but definitely still interesting to read how it happened.

Ok, so far Goodreads and Amazon tells me it will be out in a week. But Brandon Mull hasn't released any info on tour, signings, or even added the book to either his Facebook or his website. So should I start rereading the first four??? Do I need to suffer for another 6 months??? Idk man. Idk.
